Another spectacular french film! I am always a fan of french film or european film in general and this is one reason why i fell in love with them. Very compelling storyline and that instant you could feel the intensity and the pain of her life tragedy. The actress's performance was so convincing that you do not sympathize the character but rather understand the emotions and pain she is going through. You felt like you are in her shoes. Of course the credit must goes to the director in framing. Most of the shots are very claustrophobic to make the audience feel uncomfortable and through this framing tactic, he makes the spectators understand the misery of her life.
It was almost musical film as the storyline is based on a music scene so watch out for pretty much singing. I fell in love with some of the songs. Definitely gonna get the soundtrack.
The implicit meaning of the film is really touching. I admire her courage for love. To her, love is the essence of life and she lives to love even though since young life has been very unfair to her by taking away all her loved ones from her. Yet, she never once lost hope, continually finding love and giving her all to love and be loved. Very noble indeed.
